About Blue Tiger’s Eye

Blue Tiger’s Eye, also known as Hawk’s Eye, is the blue-grey to deep blue form of Tiger’s Eye. Like Golden Tiger’s Eye, it is a quartz-based material with a fibrous internal structure that creates its distinctive chatoyancy, the silky band of light that seems to shift across the surface as the stone moves.

Its colouring can range from dark blue-grey and slate tones through to more vivid blue, often appearing alongside areas of gold or brown as the stone transitions naturally between Blue and Golden Tiger’s Eye.

Blue Tiger’s Eye is traditionally associated with clarity, insight, intuition and communication. Where Golden Tiger’s Eye is a stone I often reach for when I want to strengthen confidence and self-trust, I particularly like Blue Tiger’s Eye when I need to step back, quiet some of the mental noise and see something from a clearer perspective.

Associated with the Throat and Third Eye Chakras, Blue Tiger’s Eye can be a meaningful stone to work with for intentions around expressing yourself clearly, listening to your intuition and bringing greater awareness to the way you perceive a situation.

There is also something about its combination of grounding and insight that I particularly appreciate. Rather than intuition feeling disconnected from the practical world, Blue Tiger’s Eye can symbolically bring those two qualities together, helping us stay anchored while listening more closely to our own inner guidance.

For this reason, it’s also a stone I may reach for during periods of mental overwhelm or anxious energy, not as something that takes those feelings away, but as an intentional grounding tool when I want to slow down, find some perspective and come back to myself.
