Scolecite is a type of Zeolite (water containing silicate mineral) which often occurs as slender, striated and prismatic crystals that are grouped into radiating masses, and can also be found in twinned formations. It has a hardness of 5 -5.5 on the Mohs hardness scale and can occur as white and colourless, peach, pink, red, yellow and green.
