A specialised tarnish-retardant treatment is applied at a molecular level, helping to reduce oxidation and maintain the chain’s finish over time. The result is a piece that is more resistant to darkening, while still retaining the natural qualities of sterling silver.
While the chain will not blacken in the same way as untreated silver, it may develop a softer, duller finish over time. A quick polish with a silver cloth will easily restore its shine.
