A beautiful, sustainably sourced natural abalone shell for smoke-cleansing rituals, holding smudge sticks and catching falling ash.
Abalone shells are often associated with the element of water in contemporary spiritual practice, bringing a natural elemental presence to an altar or ritual space. Their gently curved form also makes them a practical vessel for holding a smudge stick while helping to catch ash during use.
Each shell is created by nature, with its own unique combination of iridescent colour, markings, texture and shape.
Weight: Approx. 100g
As this is a natural product, size, weight, colour, markings and shape may vary between individual shells.
Light your smudge stick or bundled herbs according to their individual instructions, allow the flame to extinguish and use the shell beneath the smouldering bundle to catch falling ash and embers.
The shell can also be used as a natural bowl for holding herbs or other small ritual items when not being used for smoke cleansing.
Abalone shell is a natural material and should not be assumed to be heatproof. Do not use the shell for burning charcoal or place extremely hot materials directly inside it.
When using it with a smudge stick or other smouldering botanicals, place the shell on a stable, heat-resistant surface and take care to minimise prolonged direct contact between hot embers and the shell.
Burn herbs in a well-ventilated area with good airflow. Never leave burning or smouldering materials unattended, and keep away from children, pets and flammable materials.
Ensure all materials are completely extinguished and cool before handling, cleaning or disposal.
Abalone shells are natural products rather than manufactured objects. Variations in size, shape, colour, surface texture and iridescence are part of their natural character and make every shell unique.

Incense burners, cauldrons, trays and their contents may become hot during use. Always place your burner or holder on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from flammable materials. When using charcoal or a vessel that becomes very hot, use an insulating trivet or tile underneath.
Burn incense in a well-ventilated area with good airflow. Ensure incense sticks, cones, Palo Santo and other burning materials are positioned securely so that hot ash or embers fall within the burner or tray rather than onto surrounding surfaces.
Never leave burning or smouldering incense unattended. Keep incense, burners and hot charcoal away from children and pets.
When using charcoal, handle charcoal discs with suitable tongs and avoid touching or moving the burner while hot. Allow the burner, charcoal, ash and incense residue to cool completely before handling, cleaning or disposal.
Different materials retain and respond to heat differently. Only use your burner or holder with the types of incense described in its individual product listing, and follow any additional care instructions provided there.
