It belongs to the Feldspar family, and has a beautiful glitter effect, displaying reds, golds and even pink, green or blue. Sunstone sometimes displays asterism in the form of four-rayed stars, and these stones are known as Star Sunstone. It also occassionally also displays a cat's eye effect.
