Ammonite fossils set in sterling silver triquetra design – perfect for any Earth Goddess!
The Triquetra is a symbol that can mean different things in different cultures, but the symbol of three interwoven into a triangle could represent the triple goddess, the holy trinity of life, birth, and death.
Ammonites are fossils that are predominantly found today in Morocco, where they once flourished in a warm shallow sea which covered what is now the Sahara Desert. These creatures lived in the seas between 240 - 65 million years ago, when they became extinct along with the dinosaurs. As the shells of the creatures accumulated on the sea floor, they were buried by sediments and, over the ages, transformed into stone by physical and chemical processes.
Ammonites contain a perfect visual representation of the Fibonacci Sequence, or Golden Ratio (spiral) which is a type of Sacred Geometry that is symbolic of evolution and growth, and also of the Goddess or sacred feminine.
